ANOVA HW 1 Q. 2

Will we be docked points for leaving in outliers if we specify that we left them in in our results section?

    Nope, you would not be docked for such a decision as long as you let your reader know what you did.

    This caution to let your reader know what you did also goes for any other way someone might have chosen to treat the outliers.

    That is, it is always important to let your reader know what you did, whether you deleted, recoded to + X SDs, recoded to 1 more than the next most extreme value, transformed all values, etc., etc.

    And...an argument could be made for any of these decisions.
