Assumptions for ANCOVA

I'm wondering which assumptions we should have plots, etc for shown on our HW for ANCOVA? Do we need Cook's d, linearity, and homogeneity of regression, more specifically?

    Here's the nitty gritty answer.

    I would like you to evaluate the things that are listed as assumptions (both those that are inherited from ANOVA and those specific to ANCOVA) in your handout...

    ...however, the evaluation of these things is not part of the grading rubric for this assignment.

    So, although it would be a good thing (and good practice for the final project, should you be attempting an ANCOVA for that), you are not, strictly speaking, required to include your tests of assumptions in the ANCOVA homework.
