2x2 Latin Squares

Can you not conduct a 2x2 Latin Square because the degrees of freedom for the error would be zero?

    If you look at the slide titled "Where is the Effect of Treatment?" for the Latin Square Designs handout, you will find the discussion of how degrees of freedom for the error is zero for a 2x2 design. At the bottom of this slide, there is a brief statement as to how to work around this.
