Outliers

What is the easiest way of checking for outliers?

    Histogram or q-q plot. Please see your text, as chapter 2 discusses this.

    However, since we have not gone over this in class and it's not on your handout, you shouldn't be doing anything about this for your homework.

    I really don't ask you to do things that I haven't provided you with examples of how to do.

    I attempted to do Q-Q plot and I ended up getting a two graphs one indicating normal plot and another detrended normal Q-Q plot, now which one would we like at to see if we have outliers or not?

    Is it okay if I do a histogram, I know I am not required to, but I did it either way. Will I lose points for it?
