question about decimal points

If we get a partial eta squared that for example is .001, how do we report? Is scientific notation not used in APA style for example .001 = 1.00 x 10^-3.

    If the printout shows a value for partial eta squared that is below .005, you would report partial eta squared < .01.

    Similarly, if an F is less than .005, you would report it as F < 0.01

    P.S. No, APA typically does not use scientific notation. Their recommendation instead is to rescale your data so that it can be adequately expressed in two decimal points or less. For example, changing your report of length from feet to inches or of time from minutes to seconds.
