degrees of freedom

For degrees of freedom in Repeated Measures, I am following what the handout says until the second to last bullet point where it says "degrees of freedom for the AS error term." What is "AS" referring to?

    If you look at the slide right before that, it explains that AS is the interaction of participant and factor A.

    So, df(AS) is just the multiplication of df(s)[the degree of freedom for participant effect] and df(A)[the degrees of freedom for factor A]
