does an fmax need to be computed for a t test or anova only when levenes is violated? thanks!

Fmax does not need to be computed for a t-test, only for ANOVA. And, yes, the Fmax only needs to be computed for ANOVA when Levene's test is significant (less than .05)

if we did do an fmax for t test will that be counted against us?

If levene is significant and an F-Max was ran and a result was less than 10, in that case we ran a post hoc of equal variance assumed, right?
